Hosted over 2 days, the Shuswap Ultra is a 10KM, 20KM & 60KM solo mountain trail event that connects the communities of Salmon Arm and Sicamous in the gorgeous Shuswap, British Columbia.
The 60KM distance starts at Klahani Park in Salmon Arm and brings racers into the inviting South Canoe trail system where they will journey into the Larch Hills Traverse to experience a variety of ecosystems, each offering their own unique character. Throughout the day, runners are rewarded with forests, fens, fresh single track trails and remarkable viewpoints overlooking Shuswap & Mara Lake(s). The final descent brings runners down fast, flowing switchbacks and into unique private trails on Splatsin First Nation land. The finish line is a short jaunt on Old Spallumcheen road and into the impressive lake front Hyde Mountain Golf Resort. The 60KM distance is a point to point event; racers will have the option to ‘add on’ shuttle for travel back to Klahani Park or have the option to secure their own means of transportation.
The 20KM & 10KM distances showcase the gorgeous and established cross county ski area & will start and finish at Larch Hills Nordic Chalet. Runners will weave through pristine single track & a variety of forest, including jaw dropping older growth cedar and hemlock. 20KM runners will continue on to the infamous, super cute & intimate Cec’s Cabin while the 10KM participants will begin the subtle decent to the finish line and back to the gorgeous Chalet.
